As the autumn season draws to a close and we look to officially welcome winter into our nail lacquer colour palettes, we at butter LONDON want to reflect on our favourite nail art looks from Fall 2021. This autumn saw the release of our limited-edition Rose and Crown Collection—a Patent Shine 10X Nail Lacquer collection featuring three trend-setting, jewel-toned nail lacquer shades. Judging by our Insta mentions, we weren’t the only ones who stopped to smell the roses!
Inspired by the glimmer of gemstones and jewel tones, the Rose and Crown Collection features:
- Knees Up – a metallic red nail lacquer
- Proper Do – a rich purple crème nail lacquer
- Tickety Boo – a sparkly pink iridescent nail overcoat
Your nails are truly the crown jewels of your outfit! Here are some of our absolute favourite nail art looks *from YOU* that prove the Rose and Crown Collection has left a legacy of royal treatment.
1. Modern Festive

We’re absolutely buzzing about this look from @bycheznails! The razor thin lines created by a long striping brush instantly lift this manicure to a next-level festive and modern nail art look. This classy holiday manicure is perfect for those who want to give a nod to the holiday season without going all out.
Recreate this nail art look:
1. After your butter LONDON base coat, paint two layers of Sandy Bum (milky pink crème nail lacquer) onto the thumb, middle finger and ring finger. For your index finger and pinky, coat with two layers of Knees Up (metallic red nail lacquer). Let dry completely.
2. Using a long striping brush, apply two thin vertical lines of Knees Up to your ring finger. For your middle digit, apply two thin vertical lines of Proper Do (rich purple crème nail lacquer). Pro tip: You can vary the length of each line for an increasingly eye-catching nail art look!
3. Finish off with Hardwear Shine UV Top Coat for a high-gloss shine and to help protect nail lacquer colour for up to 10 days of wear.
2. Groovy Flower Bloom

Finish off the flowers with gold decals for a groovy 70s-inspired nail art look that’s in style all year long.

3. For your ring finger, use a long striping brush to trace your desired French Tip shape. Then, fill in with Proper Do.
4. Finish off with Hardwear Shine UV Top Coat for a high-gloss shine and to help protect nail lacquer colour for up to 10 days of wear. Optional: Use gold decals to serve as the centre of each flower.

Recreate this nail art look:
1. After your butter LONDON base coat, paint two layers of Tickety Boo (sparkly pink iridescent overcoat) onto each nail. Let dry completely.
2. With a long striping brush, use Knees Up (metallic red nail lacquer) to draw a line from the right edge of your nail up and towards the centre (following the nail’s natural curve) until you reach the tip of your nail.
3. Repeat Step #2 with Proper Do (rich purple créme nail lacquer) to paint from the opposite way. Start from the left and draw up towards the centre of the nail until you reach the tip.
4. You should see the purple line overlap the red line. Fill it in all the way to the tip of the nail with Proper Do. Be sure to paint with long strokes towards the centre of the nail! Then, paint the remaining outlined area with Knees Up for a venn diagram effect (circles that overlap).
5. Finish off with Hardwear Shine UV Top Coat for a high-gloss shine and to help protect nail lacquer colour for up to 10 days of wear.
