We are off and running, mates, with three shows down and more to come! Our first stop on the Fashion Week information highway is Yoana Baraschi, whose collection featured warm colours and mixed media prints inspired by bold African sunsets.
To channel the feminine, warrior vibe, Katie started by prepping the models’ skin with Backstage Basics Hydrating Balm. She then applied CHEEKY Tinted Highlighter in Twit to the high points of the face, followed by contouring on the hollows of cheeks and temples using CHEEKY Cream Bronzer in Bit Faker.
Katie created a bespoke red lip by applying Moisture Matte Lipstick in Ladybird on the bottom lip, and then popping Moisture Matte Lipstick in Come to Bed Red in the center and working toward the sides. She then brought the Hydrating Balm back out to apply on the models’ lids before drawing a graphic line with WINK Eye Pencil in Alabaster Gaze along the contour of the eye. Katie topped off the look with WINK Mascara in Union Jack Black on the lashes, concentrating on the roots.
The finished product:
“Yoana and I wanted to create a modern take on African warrior beauty. I chose white liner to resemble war paint but still look pretty and feminine. The red lip adds power for a bold, unique look.” -Katie Jane Hughes
